These are, in increasing order of cohesiveness and productivity, pluridisciplinarity, multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, crossdisciplinarity, and transdisciplinarity, with the last two as ultimate modalities for secondary school and university respectively.  <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hinstitute.org\/Site\/2020\/04\/19\/differential-convergence-education-from-pluridisciplinarity-to-transdisciplinarity\/halloun_differential-convergence_april-2020\/\">Download Full Text<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Differential Convergence Education from Pluridisciplinarity to Transdisciplinarity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ibrahim Halloun<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abstract<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Convergence, the process of bringing\ntogether traditionally distinct disciplines for creative and innovative\npurposes in various aspects of life, is nowadays a sweeping reality in the job\nmarket, professional R&amp;D organizations, and new majors and departments at\nprominent universities around the globe. Educational institutions of all levels\nshould follow suit, including K-12 general education. Differential convergence\nis hereby proposed with five modalities that can be accommodated in any\neducational system, like in any non-educational sector, including traditional\ndiscipline-based systems. Modalities distinguished in terms of specific\ntheoretical and practical criteria are, in increasing order of cohesiveness and\nproductivity, pluridisciplinarity, multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity,\ncrossdisciplinarity, and transdisciplinarity. These modalities, like\ndiscipline-based curricula, become particularly efficient when designed and\nimplemented under systemic theoretical\/pedagogical frameworks that consider the\nphysical world around us, as well as the conceptual realm of our thoughts and\nacademic disciplines, to consist of well-defined systems.
